Drum Shaped Toothed Coupling
The outer teeth are designed in drum shape, the tooth surface is spherical shape, the spherical center is located on the axis of the gear, and the tooth side clearance is large. This design allows the coupling to compensate for axial, radial and angular deviations between the two axes during operation.
When the input shaft rotates, the drum teeth engage with the inner gear ring and transfer torque through the relative sliding of the tooth surface. Due to the curved design of the drum tooth, it can avoid the squeezing and stress concentration of the edge of the tooth end under the condition of angular displacement, so as to improve the contact condition of the tooth surface and reduce the noise.
